Ciate Paint Pots Nail Colour Review

Ciate Paint Pot in 'Dangerous Affair'
I recently treated myself to a Ciate paint pot in the gorgeous shade 'Dangerous Affair', which is the red colour pictured above. I own many brands of nail polishes in a huge variety of colours, and up until now OPI had topped them all by far. However, Ciate has now definately become my new favourite!! I am so excited by discovering this brand, that I feel I have to let you all know how AMAZING it is!!

One coat of colour has good enough coverage if your in a hurry, but if you have the time to do two coats the result is fantastic. Drying time is amazing, and the durability is superb - It doesnt chip easily at all, and the winning factor for me is that, after a LONG soak in a HOT bath, it hasnt budged.

At £9.00 per pot, the cost is middle range, but so worth it!! And they have so many different shades that I may just have to treat myself again very soon!! Knickerbockerglory here I come....

**The Clothes Show December 2011**

Recently my sister and I went to the annual Clothes Show Live event, held at the NEC arena in Birmingham. We went on Sunday 4th December, and although I am sure that whatever day you attend will be AMAZING, I would suggest going on a weekday as it seems to be alot less hectic. This year we opted for platinum tickets - something that I would personally give a miss as the goodie bag that we had free didn't seem to contain anything that made the extra £12.00 on ticket price seem worth it (besides, you can purchase the goodie bag separately for £8.00). Additionally, the platinum seats in the fashion theatre were no better allocated than the seats we have had in previous years for the normal ticket price. The VIP pass contained in the goodie bag supposedly entitles you to further discounts at some stalls, although when we produced our passes we were informed that advertised prices already contained the discount - meaning everyone gets the discount whether they have paid the higher ticket price or not - so all in all, a bit of a con really!!

Love The Floral Maxi Dress!!

On the upside, I LOVE THE CLOTHES SHOW!!! The fashion/dance show in the theatre this year has to be the best ever. The theme of the show was 'A Night At The Department Store', and the dancers were amazing. The choreography between the dancers and models was fantastic and it was great to see Jade (the winner of Britain's next top model) on the runway. It was also jam-packed with celebs such as George Lamb, Grace Woodward, The Risk, Ashley Taylor (Darren from Hollyoaks) & Kimberly Wyatt (Her Majesty & The Wolves).

However, the top of my list for celeb spotting had to be James 'Arg' Argent from TOWIE - the crowds were going mad!! Apologies that this is not the greatest photo - I'm sure that Arg normally looks alot happier, but I had to hold my camera in the air above the crowds to get a picture!!

Arg & Maria from TOWIE

I managed to grab myself a few beauty bargains, such as the Urban Decay Rollerskating Eye Palette & Mini Lip Junkie Lip gloss, and this OPI Lites to Darks mini nail lacquer set. It contains Sweet Heart (The sweetest, softest pale pink), Princesses Rule! (A bright sparkly pink that's tiara worthy), Meet Me on the Star Ferry (Jewel-toned purple, perfect for the holidays!), and Lincoln Park After Dark (Where midnight meets purple). I'm sure that I own far too many nail polishes already, but I just couldn't resist this cute little set!!

Apple Green Chiffon Polka dot Blouse

At the moment, I am really into Vintage Fashion, and I love finding items of clothing from independent designers or small boutiques rather than shops on the high street (although a mix of both is also good!!). I have my own sense of style, I don't wear clothes just because fashion magazines dictate that they are 'in fashion', but tend to choose items that I feel good in and wear them just because I like them. I came across a little clothing stall in The Clothes Show that was right up my street!! Strawberry Kats is a London based clothing company, whose designs are 'fresh and feminine'. I just couldn't resist this Apple Green Polka dot Chiffon Blouse which has a zip fastening to the back of the garment. I love the ruched detailing to the shoulders, creating a 'puffed' effect, and I plan to wear it with my skinny jeans and heels.

Peach & Cream Graphic Print Dress

I also love this Cream & Dark Peach Graphic Print dress - Very 1950s!! It has a zip section at the back, but it simply pulls over my head, and has an elasticated waist section. It is made of a beautiful high quality soft feel fabric and would look great worn with heels and accessorised with a cute little belt. I also plan to wear it with one of my handmade wired headbands. At the moment, I am still losing the last few pounds of my pregnancy weight, but I really really cant wait to wear this dress!! :-)

Light Sage Green Vintage Style Dress

I also couldn't resist this vintage Light Sage Green Chiffon Dress. It is another pull over the head dress with elasticated waist section, and was a complete bargain for £15.00!! I love love love the delicate pleated detail to this garment, and it is perfect to wear out for an evening meal.

These are the few purchases I made, but I will definately be back for more!!

Let me introduce myself...

Multi Coloured Feather Headband

Hi there... Im Claire, the creator of **Beau Flutterby**, an online shop where you can purchase hand crafted Bridal and Fashion Hair accessories. I have also recently started making jewellery, so stay tuned for some new creations!!

Beau Flutterby came about because I was not only bored with run-of-the mill hair accessories, but also disheartened with the extortionate prices charged on the high street. One day it came to me that, with my background in Fashion Design, I could create a more affordable and exclusive range of accessories... And so my business began.

Flower Garland Alice Band

I started by listing just a few simple accessoriess on eBay, with my fingers crossed so tighly in the hope that my items would sell!! I remember having just 7 items listed, and my first sale was of an electric blue organza flower brooch. I was so pleased!! Nowadays I have a much wider range, I have a shop on eBay, and my sales are rapidly increasing!!

At the moment I sell mainly on eBay, with the odd craft fair thrown in for good measure, but I am also in the process of creating my own website - hopefully it will be up and running soon!!

So thats me... Beau Flutterby... please come and visit my eBay shop sometime!! :-)
